Comments
Comments: Crawford Path hard and frozen with occasional post holes along edge up to treeline. Some unconsolidated blown snow on Pierce Summit. More so going across to Eisenhower which has seen far less traffic. Followed one set of snowshoes from trailhead and passed a few bare booters up to Pierce. Met the snowshoe lady just below Eisenhower summit, we didn't stop to talk due to high winds. Some man size spruce traps over to Eisenhower where folks have ventured off the beaten path. Plenty of wind and low visibility on Eisenhower. Planned to go over to Munroe but decided otherwise based on wind and visibility. Windblown snow and hard frozen ice and snow on Eisenhower summit. Wore snowshoes from trailhead and back down to Mizpah cut-off. Switched to micro spikes and promptly twisted one ankle and then the other in postholes. Pierce and Eisenhower always a nice hike. A great day overall, going across to Eisenhower was a challenge.
