The Lincoln Woods trail was easy. Two hikers had broken trail up to the Brutus Bush whack a few days ago making the going easy. Thank you very much. The hard work started at that point. Nobody had been on the Brutus since the big snowfall and we could not even see where it was supposed to go. So we broke our own trail as best as we could guess until we joined the Owl's head trail at about 3600 ft altitude. We then went to the old peak and continued north along the ridge to the current peak. We were four of us and the bush whacking part was hard and took about two and a half hour. Fairly fast to come down thou. We started just after seven in the morning and walked out in the dark. |
