| Dog-Related Notes: |
There's a crust on ridge if your dog steps off trail. My dog stepped off trail and slid about 200 feet down the mountain. It was the scariest moment of my life! I'd suggest keeping a leash on a dog while walking the ridge. |

Up Falling Waters, down Greenleaf
We were on trail at 6:30am, so it was solid and packed. I used Hillsound trail crampons and friend used microspikes. Make sure they're sharp or you may slide coming down from Lafayette. Probably would need snowshoes later that day as the sun turned trail to soft slushy snow. It was a perfect day for this hike! Some snowdrifts covered the trail, but easy enough to figure out where to follow. |
