Comments
Comments: Warm day on the trail. Quick trip up on pretty solid monorail, but started punching through even with snowshoes, mostly in open glades on the way up, but just about anywhere on the way down. Very soft snow off of the monorail. Past the cabin the trail was hard to follow and seemed to meander and branch off in several places, but you can almost aim straight for the summit at that point anyhow. I know I was off the trail a couple of times and sank to my upper thigh in the soft snow. Light rain became more moderate around 1:30 PM as I reached the parking lot, and will have its effect.
