| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Plenty in Lot 1 at 8:15 a.m., but you would probably have to park in Lot 7 at 1:30 p.m. |
|
| Surface Conditions: |
Snow - Packed Powder/Loose Granular, Snow/Ice - Monorail (Stable) |
|
| Recommended Equipment: |
Light Traction |
|
| Water Crossing Notes: |
The snow bridges had broken in places, but the streams were easily rock hopped. I had to use a couple slightly submerged rocks. |
|
| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
No problems. There were a few short sections with significant postholes, but easily worked around. |
|
| Dog-Related Notes: |
Saw two dogs. The trail was nicely packed and easy for dogs, but their feet and legs will get wet in the water crossings. |
|
| Bugs: |
none |
|
| Lost and Found: |
none |

| Comments: |
The trail was near perfect -- hard, packed down, and not icy. Temperatures had gotten back to well below freezing, solidifying the snow that softened due to the high temperatures earlier in the week. There were a few short sections with significant postholes, but they were easily worked around. |
