| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
We drove up the road and just before the summer lot and there is a snow bank that has been driven over, on one side - I managed to easily drive over the embankment to get to the parking lot and I don't have 4wd, but I have snow tires. |

We started off in spikes for a late day/sunset hike. The trail consisted of wet leaves and patches of snow. The first 1/2 mile there was a disintegrating base and every other step sounded hollow with seepage all around. At 1.9 miles in we experience a short lived snowsquall and gusts. For a day in the 50's the trail was in great shape with a nice base, and we stayed in spikes the entire hike - snowshoes taking a ride on our packs. We managed to walk out under moonlight and used the headlamp the last 15 minutes. |
