Comments: Deirdre and I decided to add our tracks to pack down some snow in preparation for Kinsmans on Sunday. We saw 7 people on Lonesome Lake trail. It is pretty well packed now. We intended just to go to the hut today. We decided to check out the beginning of Fishin Jimmy just to see how it was looking. We went about 0.3mi and the trail was packed with remains of last nights snow making a soft foot bed. How could Fishin Jimmy be more packed than Lonesome Lake? We were so happy! Sunday will be great if its already like this. We went to the hut and met a group from Hanover HS who had gone up to the hut just prior to the snowstorm. Spoke to the group leader and they had been up fishin jimmy yesterday. I asked the question "Did you go to the pond, did you go to the ridge"?
Answer was no. They had turned around. Oh the disappointment. So I hope some of you get out there Saturday :) It snowed lightly all day today.
