Our concerns about snow depth, because of the recent snowstorm, were soon put to rest.
Max breaking depth for the entire bushwhack was 8" with high flotation snowshoes.
From the parking lot we walked .5 mile E on the Kanc, over Ham Brook, to our take off point.
Our initial route took us a short distance to the SE before turning SW on a bearing to
the summit.
The route was almost entirely in wide open hardwoods/softwoods, with some open woods,
very minimal spruce, and the required scratchy stuff near the top.
There were 2 short steep stretches where pulling ourselves up with trees helped, but
was not essential.
The summit is easily found.
Thanks to Lucky Laura for accompanying us. Her presence is always appreciated.
