What a perfect day to be out. The trail was great heading up. We bare-booted about halfway up the trail until we started digging into the trail quite a bit. Then the snowshoes went on. Probably could have been done fine without. Quite a few folks only had spikes. The Around the Lake Trail and the path over the lake to the hut definitely requires snowshoes for the easiest walk. Almost no wind and absolutely no clouds all day. Views over to the ridge were the best I've seen. |
