Small parking area at the end of Round Pond Road, maybe 5-6 cars. Road is a tight two way, had to pull into snowbank to let someone in on the way out |

Didn't see a sign for the upper trail through the boulder field from Round Pond Road. There was a sign once on the Boulder Trail, we went back that way yellow blazes and ended back on the road |

Saw one dog, have a great time in the snow. |

Round Pond Road has had a snowmobile break it out. Broke out Boulder Trail and North Mountain Trail to the summit. Probably about 8-12" of unconsolidated snow. Made a nice track until a pair of hikers from the other side bare-booted their way down. Beautiful bluebird day. Only saw them and one other person with a dog. Will have to come back to explore the boulder field and cliffs around Round Pond. Nice place close to home. |
