Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: I parked at the gas station. Hiker lot is clear but seems to be used by snowmobilers. Adds a bit of a road walk but there is no parking currently on Mt. Starr King Rd. Please respect the residents so that we can continue having access to the trail.

Surface Conditions: Snow - Packed Powder/Loose Granular, Ice - Breakable Crust, Snow - Unpacked Powder, Snow/Ice - Frozen Granular

Recommended Equipment: Snowshoes, Light Traction 
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: All frozen still and able to be stepped over.  
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: A couple of new step over blowdowns and one crawl under.  
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Easy 7.2miles for dogs. Of course make sure they can handle a 4K and moderate mileage.

Lost and Found: Nothing.  
Comments: My #3 for Rheumatoid Arthritis.

Beautiful bluebird day. Trail was solid down low in the AM. Became less consolidated up to Starr King and over to Waumbek. I used snowshoes which helped but wear what you are comfortable with. There are a few new blowdowns but nothing to reroute the trail over. Step overs and one crawl under. Trails were not crowded today at all. I always enjoy this hike and today was no different.
