Was pleasantly surprised to see ~four back country skiers took a left onto York Pond Tr. My guess is that they went in yesterday. ~3-4" new snow low and 8+" new snow up high on several feet of old snow. I was sinking in with my 25" Lighting Accents while walking on the ski tracks. The track is not consolidated for bare boots. Shoes are mandatory...unless you want to posthole. The back country skiers headed N on the ridge trail. Now is a good time to get Terrace if you need it. On my return I noticed that bare booters were postholing their way up to Cabot:( |
