Headed up for the sunrise this morning on Mt. Madison. Left the parking lot at 3:30 am and timing was perfect as i crested the summit of Madison under a million stars with no moon light. By 5:30 the was a slight glow in the sky and it was quiet a light show this morning. The winds were low and the sky were clear. After a few pictures i headed over to Mt. Adams and found campers just above Star Lake and another tent near the Gulfside Trail. It must have been an amazing night to camp up there. It was nice to it and eat my warm soup on the rocks jut above the hut with no jacket it was so warm. I can't think of a better way to grid out these two peaks.
