Comments
Comments: Snowshoes needed on Handcock Notch trail. Cedar Brook trail not broken out. Started bushwhack to E. Hitchcock at Wilderness Boundary sign. Woods fairly open, some thickness near recognized summit. Returned to Cedar Brook trail same way we came up, headed back to Handcock Notch Trail. Began Bushwhack of W. Huntington at last major water crossing 1/2 mike before Kanc. Woods open, but became more dense as we approached the ridge. Track began very steep, but traversed the ridge, gradually reaching ridge.2 miles from summit. Ridge was thick, dropped slightly to stay out of pencil woods. Reached recognized summit in good time, returned same route
