Comments
Comments: Sawyer River Road was firm in the morning making the 4 miles to the summer lot much more enjoyable than expected. From there we followed a bearing of 185 until we hit the ridge, turned right and found our first jar in about a quarter mile. While the group stayed to sign in, Mike headed further west looking for views but instead found another jar this one with far fewer entries but looking much more official. We all decided the western bump was the “official” top. We retreated to a sunny spot with nice views over Albany Interval for an hour long lunch before heading back down, drawing to a close yet another awesome day in the woods. Sawyer River Rd. is packed from snowmobile traffic, but melting fast. Could be clear of snow by next week.

Totals for the day – 11 miles, 2024’ elevation gain.
