Comments
Comments: i walked the snowmobile trail a short distance past a closed gate and started bushwhacking up towards the saddle south of the summit. woods were open with only small patches of snow down low. the climbing got steeper in the last couple hundred vertical to the saddle, but it was generally easy to slab around the steepest pitches. there was still some snow in the saddle, but it was short lived and once on the climb to the summit the woods were again mostly snow free with good open going. i went over the south bump first noting the remains of an old cairn then headed to the north bump where there was a string and it appeared a register jar had been pulled down. i looked around to see if it was nearby, but having no luck was able to replace it. i headed down on roughly the same route finding some fresh bear/cub tracks in the snow near the saddle. i was able to stay on less steep lines heading down and popped out on the snowmobile trail just short of the road.
