Comments
Comments: Took the UNH Trail counterclockwise (right at the loop junction). Trail started out with considerable snow, but with a clear monorail that was easy to stay on. A little bit further up (but still below the loop junction), there were some bare patches and some ice. Above the loop junction, it alternated between monorail-y snow and bare patches/ice pretty much all the way to the summit (the steep sections generally had less snow). All of the open ledges were bare rock. Beautiful views and nice breeze. Descending from the summit was a challenge, since microspikes massively reduced traction on the open rock but the more sheltered areas still had some snow and ice. Between the two peaks there was some snow and some areas of wet trail. Descending from the East ledges there was still quite a bit of snow - I was okay in microspikes (and only postholed a few times) but snowshoes would have made it easier. Some parts of this descent were quite wet - lengthy sections of going down a creekbed.

All in all a great hike, and definitely a loop that would be good in any season. Look forward to doing it again!
