| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Plenty of parking at the trailhead lot, across from Wellington State Park. Low, soft, granular snow berm at entrance of road to lot, but it's easy to drive over the (lower) right-hand side. (We had no problems with small passenger car.) Lot is about two-thirds covered in an inch or two of rapidly melting, soft, rotting ice. Space for several cars on clear, dry area. |

| Comments: |
A nice leg-stretcher.
Some icy, thin, bare-bootable monorail for the first tenth or two-tenths of a mile on both Elwell Trail and Orange Trail, near lot. After that, monorail becomes sparse or non-existent, replaced with dry trail or mud. Ledges are completely dry and clear of snow/ice.
Entire route is bare-bootable, including back of Little Sugarloaf which often has ice late in the season -- it's completely clear and dry. |
