Comments
Comments: I had a couple hours to kill between appointments in Concord and decided a good way to kill an hour was to go for hike nearby at the Swope Park. I followed Blue/Gray blazes to the right (not the new Red Connector trail go straight and then right) and followed the path to the overlook of Long Pond/Penacook Pond and then took a left on a Yellow Blazed trail over top of Jerry Hill and past the old tower footings. I then went Right again past Gilfillan Rock--I climbed around on the rock and looked at the other markings on top too. The Outlook towards Pats Peak, Crotched and even Monadnock could be seen. I thought about heading back but I decided to go right again and go down and up over the top of Jerry Hill again. From here I went left and was back on the blueish/grayish blazes back to the car. I am guessing all this was at most maybe 2 miles, love it this time of year when the trees have no leaves. Good thing to do if you have time to kill in Concord.
