Comments
Comments: At the Kiosk there is a log book that we signed into with our comments of nice trails apres our hike. We went up the zip-zag and followed the ridge trail over both high points, nice views from Eagle Rock of Monadnock. We doubled back to the East Outlook and then investigated the ruins of the old rope tow ski lift--an anchor in rock just below and all the lift poles with the guides still in place and lift shack down below. Then we connected to the Carriage Road past the cell tower farm (though they are decorated like tress they didn't fool us). We headed down a spur marked Cemetery and followed it down but it must be a trail in progress. We doubled back and visited the excellent South Outlook, looking right down on Dublin Pond and Monadnock was now even closer. Doubled back again and then across the big field in front of towers to the old rehab hospital, it is fenced and is falling apart and severely wrecked. It must have been quite the mansion it its hayday, swimming pool and big vista! From here we followed the road back to the car. Passed by interesting lovely stone walls. Great 2 mile after work outing!
