Water Crossing Notes: Water is high and flowing very fast. I don't see how you can do this hike successfully without doing the Black Pond bushwhack right now. Even the last three "easy" crossings required a ton of work.

Comments
Comments: Trail conditions are all over the map. Lots of mud/water down low, rotting monorails for a large portion of the hike, patchy ice up high, as well as some lingering snow that's been postholed to hell and back. In some areas up top, there is still a significant amount of snow (multiple feet), but I honestly think snowshoes would be useless at this point. Our group donned the spikes about 3/4 of the way up the slide, and that was all we needed to get to the summit.

Water is the big issue right now with all the rain we had this week and the snowmelt. If you're uneasy with crossings, now is definitely not the time do attempt this hike.
