| Comments: |
Davis Path bare ground with monorail beginning about 2/3 of way to Crawford. From Crawford, deep wet snow, needed snowshoes to junction with Stairs Col Trail. Slag along side if Resolution was a challenge. Took Stairs col trail to about 2600 ft. and leaped into woods staying at base of cliffs off Stairs. Intermittent deep snow and bare ground. Alternated between bare booting and snow shoes. We spent much of our time taking snow shoes off and on. At the base of cliffs going was rugged with slipping and sliding and dealing with blow downs. Started up summit ridge, but had to turn back with time constraints. A long day. Will try again when snow is gone. We did have a great lunch at the base of cliffs and drank crystal clear water running of cliffs. Lost my water bottle, but found it on the way back. |
