Comments
Comments: We hiked up Rocky Branch (flooded as usual) to the height of land & took a bearing to the ridge of South Engine. We encountered LOTS of water & much snow which & post-holed to the ridge, which was exhausting. Lots of moose sign along the way when we found one snow free area we looked around & found a beauty of a shed- first of the year. We continued to the recognized summit. On our decent we took a more direct route back to the trail & found a second nice shed. We returned down the trail & went to celebrate our success. Great hike w/ Lisa, Brian & Mary.
