| Comments: |
Zealand rd closed so that'll add 7 miles to the hike. From the road to the hut the snow was pretty much all gone and all minor water crossings were easy. After the hut it was pretty much all snow with bare spots here and there. There was a very narrow monorail that was stable but difficult to see at times. Step off the slightest and it will be a 2 to 4 foot posthole. The spur to the summit was very wet and mashed potatoes. A couple of us bare booted and for the rest spikes were fine.
