| Comments: |
Trail was a mix of conditions. We avoided crossing Little River (which was roaring!) by taking the trail off of North Twin Trail so that the river stayed on our right. Trail was dry to start, but there were several very muddy areas as we progressed. Monorail was present at high elevation (not sure of the exact elevation) and we were able to stay on it, with only a few missteps off to the side. We did not use our snowshoes, but we did use microspikes coming down and they were helpful where it was a little slippery. Saw some animal tracks (deer or moose?) heading down when we were heading up, but we didn't cross paths with them. About 5 1/2 hours round trip for us. |
