Comments
Comments: Spikes on along A-Z about 0.3 from Avalon Jct, then mostly in and some out of monorail all day to 0.2 below Mt Avalon spur. Monorail was a big challenge today. Not so bad until Field. Field to Willey another story, difficult inconsistent footing. You must really want Willey in May at this point. Some 3' + deep snow in areas along the ridge from A-Z to Willey. Monorail collapsing under foot from Field to Avalon. Estimate there will be various depth snow along Willey Range trail well into June. Gaiters, trekking poles, waterproof footware, and "older" spikes will be useful.
