Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: This was an early season trail maintenance run--my first time on the trail. I removed ~25 blowdowns with a handsaw and ax, then had to call it quits because I was knackered. Top section that DOC re-routed recently is in great shape. Lower section still has a number of stepovers and a few more significant blowdowns. Some pruning needed, probably some blazing too, and lots of drainage clearing. I just recently adopted this trail, so please bear with me as I get it into shape.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: My dogs liked being outside. The bugs and heat...they could do without.
Bugs
Bugs: Found four ticks on me. Black flies were insufferable.

Comments
Comments: Only hiked from Glencliff up to the height-of-land near Hurricane Mountain's summit.

Hurricane Trail had lots of blowdowns, many of which are now clear. DOC section at the top was unexpectedly divine! Really nice trail work. The viewpoint was great!

Hope to get back soon, maybe when it's cooler.
