The beginning of the trail has a lot of slippery dry leaves, but careful footing this won't be a big deal. Toward the middle of the trail it is very muddy and the rocks are super slippery. You might want to take it slow here, the mud is almost unavoidable. I ended up with my feet drenched in mud toward the end of my hike. I simply couldn't avoid it any longer! The last mile of the hike is clear, beautiful, and always worth it. My last advice is bug spray!! The bugs were RELENTLESS! I didn't think ahead and pack any and the bugs almost ruined my good time toward the end. Today I'm covered in itchy bites. :( |
