New Chester Mountain Road is in decent shape up to just before the parking area, after which it has become pot-holed and rutted. Parking area is relatively dry -- plenty of parking at the Slim Baker Conservation Area lot. |

Occasional mosquitoes and a couple of black flies -- the bugs appear to have settled down quite a bit from a few days ago. |

Quite a few pink ladyslippers are in bloom now.
Trails are in great shape.
First 0.1 miles of Greenan Trail near the parking area is a bit mushy and muddy, though, and not draining very well there.
