Trail Maintenance Notes: One blowdown within 5 minutes of start; I'm sure with closeness to Highland Center it won't be there long. Looked like lots of recent work in many spots; appreciated!

Bugs
Bugs: Not bad today; had a few bites on neck at end. Forgot to put spray into summer pack last night.

Comments
Comments: Trails were drier than expected until 6:30 when a downpour arrived making the last mile like walking down a brook. About a 100' stretch of minimal monorail between Field and Willey easily dealt with. Glad I skipped Mt. Avalon as that most likely would've put me going down steep part of Avalon Tr. in the pouring rain. Prior to this the rocks provided adequate traction. Far better views than expected today and nice chatting/hiking with Waumbek, Mike L. and others.
