Parking/Access Road Notes: there were 5-8 spots left at around 1030am

Water Crossing Notes: all easily rockhoppable

Trail Maintenance Notes: Lots of mud and some standing water at the beginning.  
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: saw a dog on the trail, not sure how it made it up the rock scrambles! was big to carry 
Bugs
Bugs: were horrendous. no one was at the summit when i got there, despite great weather, and this is probably why. i couldn't even sit down to eat my sandwich, with my raincoat over my head-- bugs were killer.

Comments: I missed the left turn at the beginning of the trail (it's not really marked) and followed a trail into crazy muddy bugginess. trail ended, i ended up retracing my steps and finding the trail. also made a wrong turn near the fire road too. map and compass set me straight.

also thanks to a lovely couple from portland who shared their OFF! !
