Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: The two major river crossings were mostly covering the rocks so dog (Torre) and I waded across. Water was over Torre's head in some places and she is a 65 pound dog. Swift current and not easy crossings.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Lincoln Brook Trail was wet and muddy from end to end. Some erosion near river.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Torre is a great hiking dog but didn't like this hike. She was almost swept away on first river crossing. Good thing I had her on leash.
Bugs
Bugs: None. Too cold.

Comments
Comments: It was a wet, rainy, cold day. The slide was very slippery, especially where there were leaves on the upper half. Luckily, on way down we missed slide trail and ended up on Brutus Bushwack. That's the best way up and down if you can find it. Wish we had taken the Black Pond Bushwack, too. NOTE: if there has been a lot of rain consider using the two bushwacks, especially Black Pond BW.
