Comments
Comments: I barebooted most of the way. Used spikes from the Madison Hut to just beyond the Madison summit. Some mud below treeline, and patchy snow and ice mostly above treeline. Snow was soft in spots but glazed over and quick slick in others. No postholing issues. No problems with ice on the steep sections of Madison Gulf Trail.
