Comments
Comments: An early trip up Bemis Brook Trail was fun to see all the water! A hike out and back to Bemis Brook Falls is very easy and I am sure more people should try this hike--but the hike up to meet the Arethusa Falls Trail when the trail leaves the brook is a very steep wall to climb. First foot bridge is missing a section of handrail, 2nd footbridge is much newer. I took the muddy herd path up along the south side of the falls to the top. There are lots of herd paths and there is no reason to put yourself in danger by getting close to the edge. The view is from this upper vantage is super Stairs Mountain to Crawford. I continued up the brook in the brook and along its banks to the point where the state park ends. Fun hike
