Tarrytown Rd, Manchester
Rode (mountain bike) west from the Lake Massabesic Parking area to the parking lot for the Elliot Hospital (AKA "Tarrytown Road end of the trail") - VERY interesting and mostly city-debris-free though there is occasional graffiti. About 6 miles RT. I was expecting a LOT of overgrowth but it had just been mowed. The road crossings were easy but you have to look carefully - some of the crossings are entrance/exit ramps and traffic moves quickly. Nice wide-open and boulevard-like across several Manchester neighborhoods. Really fun ride with nice vistas.
AS an aside - still nursing an ankle sprain but this was a fun diversion. |
