Recommended Equipment
Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Many tiny streams. One brook with a bridge on Morse, another on the lower part of the Percival Trail.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Several easy to stop over blow downs. Nicely blazed in yellow, either painted or a plastic sign. Sign suggests volunteering with the Squam Lake Assoc. They are doing a great job, thanks.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Saw some. I would be very reluctant to take a dog on some of those ledges. Also, not much water on this loop.
Bugs
Bugs: Mosquitoes - mostly in the woods. A few black flies.
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: Back and white socks in parking lot. Moved them to kiosk.

Comments
Comments: Excellent choice when you want a half-day hike not too far a ride. Almost made book time (after subtracting the LONG time spent on each beautiful summit) and made it back home quickly. Did this clockwise, taking the ladder/cave route to Morgan (there is a bypass as well). Similar approach to Percival - either caves or ledges. We descended by those ledges. Will return to get those little sections we missed for redlining. Pretty ridge walk between the two summits, rather Hancock-esque. We will be back!
