Comments
Comments: Again our thanks to franklinsites, nhmountainhiking.com, and trailbandit.org for helpful directions and maps. Anne L. and I found the TH easily enough at the height-of-land on Mountain Rd at the top end of a small apple orchard. However, we were concerned to find a "No Hunting or Trespassing" sign at the end of the orchard and a "No Parking" sign on the cleared parking area. Two young men were on the hillside working at the orchard, so we introduced ourselves and asked about the signs. They said they lived just up the road and indicated we could just ignore the signs. So we did, without problem, and headed up the left end of the orchard field to the trail opening in the woods.

At the height-of-land, a trail breaks off on the right for Little Larcom, while the main trail descends a little and then curves left and begins a steep climb to the summit of Larcom. Route finding is aided by small cairns to Little Larcom and blackened ax blazes for Larcom. The total hike for both summits is under three miles and yields fine views, especially to the north.
