Recommended Equipment
Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: No water crossings. Just mud crossings!
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Very muddy trail and pooling water. Trail needs drainage or a way for hikers to cross the mud. The path is widening significantly due to hikers walking around mud pits.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: plenty of streams and mud for my dog! We used the bypass on the way down and my 70 lb shepherd mix did great going up the chimney on the way back up to Osceola
Bugs
Bugs: mosquitoes weren't crazy. I kept moving below treeline and above was windy enough to keep them at bay.
