Simultaneously added a favorite summit to my list and a new not so favorite trail! The fire tower at the top is amazing and the views were great as well. The trail isn't all that bad in reality it just climbs more than your average 3000 footer considering the start at about 700 feet. So this hike feels more like a hike up Mt. Pierce. Other than the relentless bugs this was a great hike and saw only 3 people even though lots of other trail heads were packed today. Definitely worth a visit! One of the best views in the whites. |
