Did this to pick up the last pieces of the Carriage Road and the Hurricane Trail. Nice easy hike, mostly easy grades on Carriage Road until the Hurricane Trail then a little stepper to the next Hurricane trail. Hurricane Trail level on a contour line, a few minor ups & downs, runs along the Gorge Brook most of way. Easy footing but lots of mud and leaves on the Carriage Road. Hurricane Trail mostly dry. Stopped in at new Dartmouth Lodge, really nice building. |
