| Comments: |
Beech and oak leaf cover in some trail sections below first ledges hide some rocks and loose stones. Ice on ledges but there are sufficient dry rock to safely walk. The most prevalent icy section is the north side of Middle Moat however no traction is needed if care is taken to use dry rock surfaces. Some blow downs in section between Middle Moat and North Moat. The fallen trees did not impede progress. Some trail sections are sparsely blazed but usually the path is obvious although there are some phantom trails wandering off the "true" trail. Many open ledge areas providing great views. |
