| Comments: |
i walked in to a 3 way junction shown on the topo where a road turns west towards the main peak of salter skirting its middle peak to the north. this road is actually a powerline cut which i followed towards the peak. out of the cut the woods were mostly open up to the ledgy highpoint and its framed view of chocorua. i retraced my steps and visited the other two summits to the east that have equal high contours. the middle peak has a nice view ledge to the west and south and is virtually equal in height to the main peak. definitely worth the shortish bushwhack. the east peak is the lower and has a camp near the highpoint so really not worth it. |
