52 WAV, #51! We only had scanty map info. AMC #6 was the best. Trail NH "52 WAV" also gave driving directions. Follow Nash Stream Rd north for 8.2 miles, cross a bridge, and look for the cabin on the left. That is the TH parking. At the 1st major trail intersection, stay to the right. It's a non-stop climb to a pretty summit with nice views. Fast hike down put us back at the car in under 3 hours. It was hot and humid but we climbed N. percy. Down by 5 PM. Burgers and beers in Lancaster. If you only have the time and energy to do one peak, N. Percy is a more fun climb with a neat peak. Sorry Sugarloaf! Thanks again to George and Bengt who made the climbs today. |
