Comments
Comments: I've been wanting to check this out small peak in the Ossipees for a while, and used Bryan's previous report as research.

From the gate, I walked the edge of the field to a woods road in the far right corner. This field appears to be private property, but nothing is posted and there is evidence of people walking through here. The owner of the house at the far end of the field was out. Either they didn't see me or they didn't mind me being there.

The road climbs moderately to near the height of land, where another woods road, used by ATVs, branches off to the right. This is only a few yards after the blowdown mentioned above. In a short distance, the road splits. Bearing right continues to the summit, where a boulder on a ledge marks the high point. The road does a short loop over and around the summit. At a fire pit, a herd path descends a short distance to open ledges with a fantastic view south over the lake and to the Belknaps. I returned the same route.

A very short hike, less than two miles round trip, but with a nice payoff. Neat area.
