Several water crossings. All passable without much trouble by rock hopping. Saco River gauge near Conway was at 2.7 feet and about 300 cfs for reference. |
|
| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Dry river trail from Dry River Falls to the summit of Monroe is poorly maintained. Tons of large blowdowns and narrow sections. After Dry River Shelter 3 it is very easy to lose the trail. |

| Comments: |
Starting from Dry River Shelter 3 hiking up Oakes Gulf towards Lake of the Clouds the trail is very slow going and not well maintained. Would recommend not going this route unless you have significant experience in the White Mountains. There are tons of large blowdowns, steep rocky sections that are very slippery and wet, and many places where it is easy to lose the trail. There are several water crossings along the Dry River Trail and Mt. Eisenhower Trail that could be tricky if the water was much higher. |
