Comments
Comments: Nice, wintry walk. Lots of people on the trail - many without any traction. Several had fallen on a patch of ice very near the view point. In our group, the adults were in micro-spikes and the kids were in yak-trax. We had no issues at all on the icy spots. Very friendly Gray Jay at the view must get food all day.

We took a side trip up the Cascade Loop on Avalon Trail just to check out the falls and the ice formations. They were lovely. We followed just one set of footprints in the snow.
