Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: The parking lot was nearly full by 8:30 am and was overflowing at 4:30 pm when we returned. The is no charge to park here. 
Surface Conditions
Surface Conditions: Dry Trail, Wet Trail, Wet/Slippery Rock, Mud - Minor/Avoidable

Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: The river crossing was pretty easy. Plenty of rocks to hop over. 
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: We cleared the blowdown mentioned in the trail report on 08/20/17.  
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Saw a lot of dogs on the trail today. They were not having any problems. We did see a puppy on the trail. He made it to the top, but was getting a ride down. 
Bugs
Bugs: The last two trail reports talked about Wasps or yellow jackets. Did not see any today or anything else with a stinger. Other bugs were not a issue today.

Comments
Comments: There were a lot of hikers and kids on the trail today. More than I have seen on Carrigain before. There are a few minor wet and muddy spots on the trail, but nothing too bad. Overall the trail is in good condition.
