Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Only two major crossings on the hike. The first one was easily crossed, and the second one required a bit more thought.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: The trail between South and North Baldface was grown in in a few spots. Also the case when descending from the Meader Ridge Trail junction. Otherwise, no issues.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Some of the scrambles heading up South Baldface are tricky for humans, let alone dogs. Keep an eye on your furry friends here...
Bugs

Comments
Comments: The Baldface Circle Trail was mostly dry, with some minor areas of wet trail and mud. The scrambles going up South Baldface are probably treacherous when it's wet or icy- in that case, bypassing them completely via the Slippery Brook Trail sounds about right. A few brushy, grown-in areas as well, but the trail was overall in great shape.

Given my high amount of hiking experience, I probably should've done this hike by now, but I finally did it today, and I'm very glad I did! The footing was good for the most part, it was a decent challenge, and the views from both peaks were spectacular! I had read previously that this hike was very strenuous and difficult, but beside some of the scrambles heading up S. Baldface, I didn't find the hike to be that difficult. Steep in many places, but not as difficult as most guides make it out to be. That said, this hike would still be very strenuous for someone who is not experienced or physically fit, and is not to be underestimated.
