Comments
Comments: Don't miss a little side trip down the Franconia Brook Trail beyond the trail junction with Lincoln Brook to the beaver pond. Beautiful pond with views up to the bonds(I think. The "unofficial" Owls Head Path is much easier to follow than I expected. Aside from the blow downs it resembled a maintained trail. Coming down the slide took care to follow the commonly used path, but no big deal if you get off a little, you can find a way back to the popular route. Definitely be careful not to dislodge rocks as you travel the slide.
