Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: We avoided the first two water crossings of the Little River by staying on the well defined herd path on the east bank. Last (and only) water crossing was easily rock hop-able.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Very few blazes, trails and spurs well signed. A couple blow downs are trimmed of branches and we were able to step over them
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: We met the coolest dog from Vermont, Maggie! Plenty of water in the Little River but little to none anywhere else out there today.
Bugs
Bugs: a few vexing flies

Comments
Comments: What a day! The weather started out cool and high clouds and improved all day. Views were far and wide and blue skies welcomed us on South Twin. We took our time and spent good time on all the outlooks and summits. Golfing gals Sharon and Sarah really were certainly scratch hikers again today. Lots of people on South Twin, thru hikers and happy camper pemi-looping folks. It wasn't hard talking a gal and her dog into bagging North Twin after she had visited the summits of Galehead and South Twin and her goal was only Galehead. Swell time had by all.
